Autocom Cell Phone Cable ModificationThe Autocom cell phone cable worked properly with an earlier cell phone, but some phones have a recessed headphone port that keep the cable's plug from being fully inserted. Autocom may have subsequently changed their cable, but here's how I modified mine. Click on the small images for larger photos. I found it necessary to trim down the plastic (with an Xacto knife) at the base of the plug so the plug fits flush. Of course, you can do a neater job than I did, but the plug now works properly.
