The tools and techniques
This is a placeholder page for a detailed description of how we make some of
our pendants.
We're using an offset pendant backer plate, exploring the possibilities by
using different materials, offsets, techniques and finishes.
The photos below are of some of the tools we're using.
Click on the small photos for larger images.
For those who now wear them... their names are in parentheses (if I remember
correctly).

Template for scribe positions... centered and for the #2 position.
By placing the template in position on the plate or atop a pendant, you
can lay out and predict where your scribe lines will fall during
eccentric turning. This is very useful especially when rotating
the front plate to a new index mark to drill a hole in the optimum place
based on the figure of the wood and other surface features. |

We've made a template for each of the 8 mounting positions. |
