The Adventure Begins
18 lb. fresh turkey I brined it for 24 hours. For 2 gallons of brine (just covers my bird in the pot):
Basted with mixture of oil entire head of German White garlic paprika garlic powder
First hour at 500 degrees F. Took about an hour to bring temp down to 350. After the first two hours of cooking:
