Like your website. I have been making my own smoked Meats and Beef Jerky for around 23 years and am yet to find anyone who says mine isn't the best. But I sure am going to try some of your recipes. The corned Beef sounds like heaven. I really love a good corned beef. My Broyhers don't call me ChefBOYRC for nothing. Thanks Again

cool site, it showed me more of what it would be like to have a hedgehog as a pet.
I bought a Schuberth as well and have also found that it is not as quite as my other helmet. The sun visor and city setting of the Schuberth makes it worth wearing during the day, but like you I switch to my other helmet when I go for a long, or night ride. I think a lot of the wind noise comes from the shield locks that are clearly not flush and have sharp edges. Unfortunately, they are very close if not directly over the ears.
Alan, Love your site. Was wondering if you ever dabbled in Alpha2, 3, 4 or 5 in any of its versions. I have been hooked on using it since 2. I do remember using Paradox for a short time eons ago. Took the bike out today because it was like a summer day. Still love to ride.
What a time warp, Alan. Girlfriend just wandered onto your site looking for London Broil advice, and viola', there you and Lauren are. Do you happen to remember me from our ancient PAL days? Hope you're well.
A great site in all its varied areas of interest. Are you planning anything up-to-date on digital photography, perhaps more innovative gadgetry?
Where can I see one of these kamados in person? Where can I see one in use?
I was wondering if the Wunderlich center stand would be adequate to use on my R1200CL. The BMW service stand for the CL is more robust to accommodate the extra weight. Any comments??
Great website. I am considering purchasing one of these cute little things. This helped me make that decision.

I tried the recipe for Cabbage Soup, It was wonderful. I added less tomato sauce & put in a can of beef broth. If you want to make it richer, try a bit of velveeta melted in a bowl of the soup.
Very interesting and helpful site! We are thinking about fixing brisket for a rehearsal dinner, so I am trying to learn as much as I can about it. I may have to ask for more information as the big day nears! :o) Thanks! Jo Ann
I was just playing around with the term 'Corned Beef" and came upon your site.I have no idea who you people are. I saw that you lived by Pastrami King in Queens, I used to go there alot till I moved to Seattle. My last infrequent trip to NYC last Sept. I went back to Pastrami King but he was gone! I asked around and found that Pastrami king was now Pastrami Queen, located in Manhatten. I went there for a load of Pastrami & Potato Pancakes.Whenever I return to NYC I bring back 2 or 3 coolers of food. Bill
Wonderful recipes! It seems I love to cook as much as you do. My wife is very happy to watch/help me try new recipes. She really enjoys not being relied on to cook, as most ladies are. My girls ask when we are going to have "regular" food, I'm sure you sometimes get the same comments. We are huge gardeners. If you are going to garden, please visit DirtDoctor.com. Howard is an all organic proponent, who has a large following. I have heard people call from thousands of miles away to his radio show, seeking advice. You guys seem to really enjoy quality and health in your cooking, and organic is the only way to go. We try to buy mostly organic at the grocery, but sometimes price prevails. But organic gardening at home is very cheap, so that part's easy. Shoot me an email whenever, Rodney
I have a Shuberth Concept and like it better than my older Shoie. PLease, can you tell me where to get a replacement shield for the Concept? Get me at mnicholl@hotmail.com Thanks
OK, been wanting to make my own Corned Beef and your way (or Cook's Illustrated) sounds reasonable and I have everything in the recipe. The Foodsaver sounds like a good idea as I already love that appliance. Hope it turns out well. Wish me luck.
How sweet!
I love Violet! It shows that with enough love and patience, she adapted perfectly to her new home.
Thank you so much for the wonderful information about corning beef. I am using your Cook's Illustrated recipe to prepare my St. Patrick's Day meal for this year. Thanks again! Wendy.
Great BBQ-pics :D Awesome!
Hey love your new hedgie. Such a cutie What's really freaky is that my dad is named Alan (first letter of last name Z) All of them are ACZ. Just thought is was freaky. Though he has no clue how to get on the internet unlike you
I used to use the Schuberth Concept helmet, but was distracted by the high wind noise. I purchased the Concept 2 and have been very pleased. Suggest you give that a try.
Yello! I just want to say that your Mini looks absolutely fantastic :) I wish I had one like that...Drive safe
i LOVE this play!!!!!!! we just did it in my old elementary school. u nood pictures of "corner of the sky"
Really interesting site...Thank You...
Hi Alan, You probably don't remember me, but we've met many times in the past, in class, at seminars, BorCon's and at your house (long ago)! I was thinking of your Indexes, the Key seminar you gave in Orlando, and googled your name to see if you had a web site, and voila there you were! You even provide a download for the document, very nice! I loved your web site and I'm pleased that you're a Mini Cooper fan too. I don't have one, yet, maybe some day. Regards, Peter
I stumbled across your site and looked around a little. It looks like you have a wealth of information on Kamado cooking. I have had a "Big Green Egg" for about 15 years, so i will try to adapt some of your recipes. Thanks.
Ran across your site while looking into remote thermometers. What do you guys do? Inventors, engineers, consultants, etc.? What city/state are you located in? Win Eastman
they were right about the bulgoki and bulkalbi but you might try a sliver of ginger to bring out a distinct taste some time works well both ways
Where, or how can I purchase "first-aid" kit? Also, how much? Looks like you have done "research" and it looks like a "true motorcycle" kit! Thanks! Ken
Great site and I will be trying some of the babyback rib information.
Alan, It was good meeting you the other day at Prestige. Great site, I should have you set one up for me. Hope we can get together to ride or motor sometime. [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v218/alansmini/Picture002.jpg[/IMG
Thanks for the suggestion of cooking on low heat. I am experimenting with three thick cut ribeyes right now. First, seasoned and seared them, now slow roasting at 250 degrees. I hope it works. Previously, I had always cooked at 325-350 and found that the edges of the meat were more cooked than the middle. Since time is not an issue today, I am going with the slow roast technique. Thanks for your site!
Appreciated all the research that you did on the remote thermometers. Helped me out alot. Regards; Gator

great site!... I would like more information of the care of your hedgehog. For example: temperment, cleanliness, do they have a scent....are they social, do they require a partner, thanks, Bridgette
Next time you cook Salmon, buy a thick filet. Then butterfly cut them into sections. Maybe you are already familiar with this, if not, make parallel cuts about 1 - 1 1/2" apart, every other cut only cut it down to the skin, but not through the skin. Then flip the joined pieces outward so the skin folds upon itself in the middle. Voila.. it looks like a steak but has no bones. removing the skin in the center is easy compared to traditional salmon steaks.
Super site!
Great site. Have a Km7 on order...wish somebody had a pic of Raspberry...haven't decided color...Have a 96 R1100RS, so motorcycle stuff interesting, and wife loves the mini!! Keep up the good work (and fun!)
You're hedgie is adorable. I enjoyed the stories that you included. My boyfriend and I bought one from the same breeder. His name is Boss. His picture also appears on the website.
I totally love your website. Especially the parts with the hedgehogs. I own a hedgehog myself and am totally love sick for her. I drove 1000 miles for her and always will love her. I think that violet is the cutest. I love the markings on her face. It makes her look more shaded and brings out her eyes. Which are dazzling beautiful. I have devoted my life to hedgehogs and will help in every way. Once I get old enough I will start breeding exotic and non-exotic animals. Well anyway I love your website and will always love to look at the pictures you have. Don't be surprised if I drop by again. From, My mom won't let me use my real name
your website is so cool I wish I had hedgehog. when i grow up i want to be a hedgehog breeder
Your web site is very interesting. My interest are hunting. I live in western pa, and it gets real cold hunting deer. Will the heater work on a 9 vt. battery,if so how long do you think it would last. I know that depends on how long it is on,but the heater would be on and than turned off. I have experiment but you are ahead of me. Thank you walt

I had a realization tat i been through a nice nostalgic place!!.... Keep n touch!!
This is a great site! Tons of info. I came here looking for the heated insoles info. I ordered some Gorix pads tonight and look forward to finding out how this will work. Thanks, Tony CrazyCooter
Nice commentary; thanks for the input.
I thought the information about the Remote Check was very good. I have used mine for around three years, primarily for meat in theoven. I can take the remote back to the computer room and still keep track of the temp. One thing this web site told me is the upper limit of the probes. My wife is interested in making candy and I wanted to make sure this unit would work for that purpose. It will. Keep up the good work on this web site.
How many people does a 5lb-6lb prime rib roast feed? Does it shrink smaller? Thanks a bunch. Darla Marlow
Enjoyed your site. The Old Fighter/U-2 Pilot
Thanks for your thorough comments, they were very helpful, and I appreciate you taking the time to write your review. I just purchased the Maverick unit yesterday and was debating whether I purchased the right one or not. And from your comments, I guess I will give this one a try.
Great site! I was researching BMW R1200 when I ran across your site. Fantastic photos and commentary. Thanks for sharing! Happy holidays and all the best for 2005!
Hi I reached here while surfing google. What a brilliant set of pages....for your work and memories I thank you!...please keep up the GREAT work!
Alan, Thanks for the great Bagster review. I'm definitely going to get the system now. However, where did you get the tank protector and bag??? I'm going crazy trying to find an english speaking site that sells them. Also, how much did you pay? I'm getting the system because my tank has "character." It wont be until early 2006 that my painter has an opening on his schedule. Thanks for the great website! Very informative! SSgt Dave Schlanger, USAF Kirtland AFB New Mexico 1998 R1200C
Alan, we met at Americade 2004, as I was parking by grey CLC. Ride safe, Moe
